It sounds as if you are being treated in UK, where this common but serious complaint is brushed aside. I had same and discovered that in countries where post cancer care is superior (USA, France, Germany etc) this is regarded as a problem and dealt with efficiently.
If you look on after-cancer-com you will see details of different skincare products that will help. All have been clinically-trialled (iS Clinical at Washinton Cancer Center, La Roche Posay in numerous trials across France) and all are available online around the world.
I also mention products that have been approved by FDA of Australia, Europe, USA – and these are generally available in most good chemists around the world.
But you need to use one of them all over your body- two or three times a day at the start, then once a day when condition gets better.
I always wondered if if was possible too. My daughter had 2 hard and tough years of chemo treatment for Leukemia. Three years later, she complains that her bones are itchy, maybe somewhat similar to what you are feeling. Apparently it’s a nasty side effect, but I keep telling her a side effect that is so much better than the alternative!!! Good luck with it. Use lots of lotion. Hopefully that will help.
I just finished chemo on July 28th and I am having similar itchiness. I am not sure if itching is a side effect but “I feel your pain”.
